Over run Events are pleased to present the Wandlebury 6.2 mile trail run.

Course description: Trail race, traffic free, over a 6.2 mile course.
The run will start in Wandlebury Country Park and head out along the roman road.
Parking
PLEASE NOTE PARKING IS LIMITED TO 120 cars on site, with a£2.50 parking fee all day.
If you could share a lift or get dropped off it would ease parking.
There is adequate cycle racks near the car park.
There is also Babraham Park and ride site a mile down the hill with a bus service that stops at Wandlebury.
About Wandlebury
Wandlebury is a place of natural beauty and we are keen not to have any detrimental effect on the park or its users.
Please respect the countryside and remember this is not a closed route and everyone has the same rights to use the route we are running.
No rubbish such as water bottles, gels, energy bars etc. to be dropped on route or at the start. Please use the bins provided.
The whole point of using the park is for everyone to enjoy a safe traffic free race in wonderful surroundings. We will donate £3 of your entry fee to Cambridge Past, Present and Future to support them in the upkeep of the park.
Toilets

Registration (NO NEW ENTRIES ON DAY)
Registration at race H.Q. will take place on site and will open at 0930hrs and will close at 10.15
You will be asked your name, sign a disclaimer and pick up your number.
Race briefing
Race briefing will be at 1020hrs outside race H.Q. lasting 5 mins.
You must attend the briefing.
Start
The start will be near the H.Q.tent.
It will be a prompt 1030hrs start
It will be a mass start.
The course
The course is a 6.2 mile trail route commencing in Wandlebury Country Park and heading out onto the roman road.
All turnings will be signed and turn around points will be marshalled.
Please note this is an off road race so the weather will play a big part if it has been wet then parts of the course will be soft, slippery and possibly muddy so think about your footwear!
The trail leaving Wandlebury, the first 0.8 miles, has got a few hazards mainly being tree roots (which will be sprayed luminous in places), narrow sections, a bollard at 0.5 miles (which will have luminous tape wrapped around) and the possibility of a few park walkers (although it will be made clear that a run is taking place)
The last 0.3 miles out of the park is a beautiful tree lined wide path so if you wish to jostle for position this is an ideal section.
The trail along the roman road is straight and undulating.
PLEASE RUN ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE.
It is a simple 1.5 mile run to a turnaround point where you must pick up a wrist band then run back the way you came.
PLEASE KEEP TO YOUR LEFT as you will be running into fellow runners.
There is a water station at mile 4.
Continue to your second turn around point at 4.5 miles. Once again collect a wrist band.
Run alongside the main trail through a wooded area for approx. 800meters then re-join the main trail PLEASE KEEP TO YOUR LEFT.
At mile 5 you will head back into the park along the tree lined path. There will be an event photographer here so smile!!!!
You will then make your way through the park to the finish line!

The finish
Every finisher will get a T-shirt, medal and goody bag.
There will be trophies for first 3 men and first 3 women.

Results will be published on the website results page as soon as possible after the event.
Important
It is at the discretion of the race directors to change the course route or distance if unforeseen circumstances occur, such as extreme weather conditions or danger to runners from outside influences.
Wandlebury Country Park is owned and cared for by local charity CambridgePPF. We are pleased to support this charity and therefore will ensure some of your fee will go to help towards the upkeep of the Park.
